black soap

Africa is perhaps the most en vogue continent on the planet. It is baked by the sun all around the year, so, in more ways than one, it is the hottest continent. With temperatures reaching into the high fifties it can get brutal, but we Africans are quite at ease because we have so many natural skin protectors. In West Africa we have the world’s best shea butter which is the balm of choice, keeping us forever young.  And to keep that beautiful skin clean we resort to the black soap body wash, a modern version of the antiquated black soap blobs our parents put up with.  It serves both as a body wash and a hair wash.

Nature’s Own

We source our ingredients directly from nature, without any adulteration, for the ultimate natural solution. We use essential oils to ensure the true essence is felt when bathing with our body wash. Unlike other skincare products, we do not include chemicals like SLS or parabens in an effort to disguise the texture or for indefinite shelf life.  We’re more concerned with preserving your skin rather than preserving your soap.

Get Soft, Supple Skin

It works as an astringent. Our African black soap body wash also serves as an exfoliate, removing dead skin cells while you bath.  This allows your pores to breath and your skin to become taut yet soft to the touch.

It’s also Medicinal

Potash, which is the base ingredient present in the black soap, has anti-bacterial properties that prove helpful in the treatment of acne, eczema and several other skin related diseases. For such purposes, it should be applied directly to the affected area while the skin is dry.  A small amount smeared on the skin and left there for 1 minute then washed off.  You should notice an improvement in 7 days.

Get a Healthy Scalp

The African Black Soap is not only good for the skin, but it is also a boon for the hair and scalp. Dandruff is a problem, which is faced by almost everyone. Our black soap shampoos deeply, uprooting scales that resist most soaps and penetrating your locks for a completely thorough wash. Two washes are usually that’s required to remove all impurities.
